INVITATION FOR BIDS

NATIONAL COMPETITIVE BIDDING FOR THE OPERATION OF HANDICRAFT SHOPS IN THE DEPARTURE/TRANSIT AREA AT BANDARANAIKE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (BIA) KATUNAYAKE, SRI LANKA

TENDER NO.0132/T/2023

Bids are invited from Registered Companies, Establishments or Individuals for the Operation of Handicraft Shops in the Departure/Transit Area, Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), Katunayake for a period of three (03) years.  There are four (04) available spaces for bidding and the bids may be submitted for one or more spaces. The Company will not consider any Operator who operates more than one shop at the Departure/Transit Area at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), Katunayake. 

Terms and conditions and other details applicable will be issued with the Bidding documents. Bidding documents may be obtained on working days from 9.00 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. from 08th April 2024 upto 07th May 2024 from the office of Commercial & Properties Division, Room No.37, 2nd Floor, Passenger Terminal Building, Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), Katunayake on payment of a non-refundable fee of Rs.30,000.00 per set in cash with a request letter on a letter head of the Bidder. The Bidding document could also be purchased from the website of Airport & Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited [AASL] that is www.airport.lk by making a                non-refundable fee of Rs.30,000.00 through an online payment. The Bidding document will be available for inspection, free of charge at the office of Commercial & Properties of Airport & Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited [AASL], Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), Katunayake.
 
Bids should be made only on Bidding forms issued by the Company and should accompany a Bid bond as specified in the Bidding Document in cash or in the form of a bank draft or Bank Guarantee issued by a Commercial Bank or licensed specialized bank operating in Sri Lanka and approved by the Central Bank of                   Sri Lanka, valid for 150 days from the date of opening of Bids. 
 
A Pre-Bid Briefing followed by a visit to the location will be conducted at 2.00 p.m. on 26th April 2024 at the office of Commercial & Properties Division, 2nd Floor, Passenger Terminal Building, BIA.  Bidders or their duly authorized representatives may be present at the Pre-Bid Briefing. Sealed  Bids shall be addressed to the Chairman, Tender Board No.1 and sent by Registered Post to the Supply Chain Management Division, Airport & Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited, Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA),  Katunayake or should be deposited in the Tender Box 01 placed at the office of Supply Chain Management Division.  Bids will be closed at 2.00 p.m. on 08th May 2024 and opened and read publicly thereafter, at the office of the Supply Chain Management Division, Airport & Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited, Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), Katunayake. Any Bid received after the stipulated time of Bid closing will be rejected unopened. Bidders or their duly authorized representatives may be present at the time of opening of Bids.
